I would like to suggest that McCain’s trip to Columbia perfectly timed to have him there for the rescued hostages was totally Roved.  See my previous post on the subject  National Public Radio reported:

My favorite part is when Michelle patted him softly and got him to put away the Blackberry.  I can’t get my husband to take off work to go to my daughter’s soccer game and he has less of an excuse then Obama.

I guess like everyone else, I was surprised to hear that John McCain was heading to Colombia to discuss the FTAA (free trade area of the americas) but whatever, it seemed like a looser issue for him.  Jobs not goods tend to get exported any devotee of Adam Smith could tell you that.  But he goes trapsing off to Columbia with his Fem-Bot, Barbiezon of a wife with Dem-Independent-Repbulican Lieberman.

Ok, here I am thinking it is just another stupid move on his part in this half-assed, lack-luster, stuffed shirt of a campaign of his.  Could someone bring on the Varsity Team please!  Then the hostages are freed this morning and no less than CNN carries his "press conference"  Here is his moment to show a little …what is the workd I am looking for….pulse, and talk about his own experiences, how he felt when he was freed.  How scared he was as a young man caught up in a desperate situation. 

But nothing.  He does nothing but annouce that the captives have been freed.  Huh?  How can he blow this opprotunity?  Oh right it is John McCain, he blows more that a Vegas Hooker.

So the question is:  How in the name of all that is supposed to be secret, get the info that the raid was about to happen?  Who told him? It is a Rovian move to be sure.  But how?

Let’s follow this one.  There is something here that gets the hair on the back of my neck up.

Did you know that black men got the right to vote long before women got it in 1920?  One of the greatest arguments in favor of women’s enfranchisement is that black men should not have control over a white woman’s destiny.  Knowing that I figured that we were not going to get a woman president before we got a black man president. 

It seems that no matter how afraid some people are of a black man in charge, it seems less scary than a woman in charge of ANY color.

If everything is supposed to taste like chicken, how come chicken does not taste like chicken anymore?  The commercially processed chickens on the market have lost their taste over the years.  I am not sure if it  is the way the chickens are raised, housed, or fed, but the meat tastes bland and stingy. 

When I can afford it, I go to whole foods and get an organic chicken.  The taste is what gets me.  It tastes great.  There is a clean taste and the meat is firm and tender.  Why is it we have forgotten so much about how food is supposed to taste?

I dare you to go out and find an organic  chicken and just try it.  All you have to loose is a small bit of money.

I just had some body work done on my Honda after a retaining wall fell on it.  There was a lot of damadge done to the car and I finally got it back this week.  Between the body shop not wanting to fix anything and what they did fix it was done badly.  By the time I got the car back I wanted it perfect.  It was far from perfect. 

The back wheel was bent, there was a rattle in the air conditioner, the alighnment was off, and the heater was busted. 

I took it it my  local honda dealer and it turns out that there is nothing wrong with the car.  I got it back and the heater was working, the alighnment was perfect and the aircondition stopped rattling.  The car had magically repaired itself while it was in the shop. 

I feel like I am in a Steven King Novel.  .."Christine?"

Or I am just a Hondachondriac, a person who thinks their car is breaking down but it can’t be cause it is a Honda and they don’t do that.

I sort of suspected that McCain is no longer considered the A team in the republican party.  This year the republicans are fielding a stuffed shirt.  He is not going to be compettive with any Democrat.  He is a throw away candidate.  A stuffed shirt sent sent our to have a canidate. 

McCain already looks like an idiot.  What are we supposed to think?  The republicans are going to call this a building year and let it go.  So we can all forget about it   We know Obama is going to win.  Good.

In Washington, DC  there is a morning show that does this bit called "War of the Roses" basically the host calls up a suspected cheating boyfriend, says he has free flowers as a marketing campaign from a cell phone company and they can get a free dozen romantic red roses sent to anyone for free.  The guy usually sends it to someone else other than his girlfriend or wife.  There are a few variations on the theme:  an STD clinic calls to get the girlfriend to divulge the name of her partners in the last 30 days.  They are almost always bad news for the cheating partners.  http://hot995.com/cc-common/podcast/single_podcast.html?podcast=kane_guests.xml

My husband jokes all the time that he would get me for sure in a war of th roses.  Knowing me, I would probably try to order from the guy or end up sending the flowers to my mom or something like that.

Look if you think your significant love is cheating on you.  They probably are.  I believe that during the first few weeks of suspecting you should do some subtle checking.  Try picking up his phone when it rings and see if he reacts.  Any flicker and he’s a faker. 

Sign up for a service or something and give his email address to them and then you can check his email box under the pretense of looking for the activation email.  But the fact is that a cheater always wants to get caught.  All you have to do is give him enough rope to trip on.  Tell him you are going out of town and then come home early with food poisinging or something. 

When it was time for my husband and I to get married, we thought about doing a big wedding but we didn’t have any money and did not want to start our lives together in debt.  We ended up renting a beach house for a week and had a wedding on the beach and the reception at the house.  We had 50 guests who had a blast.  We did kabobs and grape leaves.  It was amazing.

I was just watching WE and they have a lot of wedding show with these women going crazy.  I will tell you now that the truth about wedding is:  everything you think is important about the wedding is not.  It will mean nothing.  The dress you spent thousands on will be boxed up somewhere in the attic, long forgotten and musty.  The cake you spent thousands on will be nice but could be no differnt then any plain old cake you could order from any bakery.

Your wedding will be over in a blur and a distant memory in minutes.  All you really have to do is to get people to show up, feed them something and you still get the same gifts.  Don’t fall for the wedding scam.  it is not your day in the spot light.  It is not your day to feel like a princess.  That is what pregnancy is for.  You get 6 months of a acting like a queen, eating anything at all wearing and comfortable loose clothes and you get to show off how BIG you have become.

Save the money.  Have a lower key wedding at a romantic location hopefully not that near your house and invite a whole bunch of people you know will not show up.  Most of the poeple won’t come and they will still feel obliged to get you a smaller gift. 

You will clean up and it won’t cost you as much.
